Crafted by Ricardo Freitas of the renowned Barbeito winery, each bottle is a tribute to Washington’s preference for “rich” Madeira, a sweet and balanced style of wine that captivated him. Extensive research into Washington’s correspondence with Madeira suppliers, conducted by wine historian Aaron Nix-Gomez, has guided the creation of this special blend.
The George Washington Special Reserve combines wines aged 10 to 20 years with exceptionally old vintages, offering remarkable depth and complexity.
